Close to the central train station and other transport. Also close to local attractions and food

We were worried beforehand because of the reviews, but we had a great stay. Our room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. The receptionists were warm and welcoming. Access to the building and everything was really easy, and the location across from the Reina Sophia and within walking distance to lots of restaurants was great. The entryway was under construction and the elevator is tiny (classic European), but there wasn’t anything that felt unsafe or weird about it; other reviews really blew that out of proportion and it really didn’t matter at all for purposes of our stay. Everything felt safe and secure with the building access limited by scan cards or codes at both the downstairs door and the entry to the hostal. Don’t let those other reviews keep you from staying here.

Read reviews and was worried about the experience, but the hotel itself was excellent. Very clean rooms and a nice balcony. Beyond the building itself, my stay was good. Martin at the check-in was also very attentive and even lent me his charger overnight.

The entrance was being reformed, kind of a sketchy way to the room, but... the staff was lovely and room super comfy with all you need, good location too.
